We have clear guidelines for registration, storage and sharing of crossing data.
Registration of crossing data
If you have an AutoPASS agreement, it is for the most part your tag that is registered at a toll point. Exceptions are when the tag has not been registered properly.
In these cases, we take a picture of the plates to bill the owner of the car. If there is a valid agreement attached to the car, the crossing will be paid by the agreement holder. Bills are sent as usual.
Agreements with debt collection are automatically frozen. Until the debt has been paid, the agreement will remain registered as invalid in our system.
Faktura sendes ut i etterkant. If you do not have an AutoPASS agreement, your plates will be photographed at the crossing. The crossing is charged to the car owner at the time of the crossing, as registered in the motor vehicle register. Bills are sent post crossing.
Storage of crossing data
Crossing data also appears on all bills unless you as a customer have reserved yourself from this. Due to the billing law, bills are kept for 10 years after they have been sent.
If you have requested deleting of crossing data when entering the agreement, the crossing data will automatically be deleted as soon as the agreement has been charged. This means that crossing data will in this case not be available for review.
Pictures attached to a crossing done by a customer without an agreement, will normally be deleted 60 days after the bill has been paid. If there is a case regarding the crossing, the pictures will be kept until the case has been treated.
Crossing data is also printed on all outgoing bills. Due to the billing law, bills are kept for 10 years after they have been sent.
